The Library Welcomes Jeanette Norris

The Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeanette Norris as the new Metadata Management Librarian. Norris comes to Brown from Syracuse University where she received her MSLIS degree. She held a number of library positions at Syracuse, most recently Technical Specialist (Cataloging and Metadata). Librarian Li Wang Wins Outstanding Paper Award

At the 2014 International Conference on Chinese Digital Publishing and Digital Libraries, Librarian Li Wang was awarded Outstanding Paper (first place) for his presentation and paper titled “Digital Scholarship at Brown: New Trends in Research Services in North American University Libraries.” This conference was organized by Tsinghua University Library, The University of Hong Kong Libraries, Shandong Librarian Li Wang Wins Outstanding Paper Award

The Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Pavlech as the new Biomedical and Life Sciences Librarian. Pavlech recently received her master of science in library science from the University of North Carolina School of Information and Library Science. The Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Creamer as the Library’s new Science Data Specialist. Creamer is coming to the Library from University of Massachusetts Medical School and National Network of Libraries of Medicine. Erika Sevetson is our new Health Sciences Librarian. Erika comes to us from the Ebling Library for the Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she has worked since 2000.
