Both JSTOR and Project Muse titles are not working with EZProxy. We are recommending that our users install the VPN and use that until the issue is resolved. Created by famous political cartoonist Thomas Nast, these eight vignettes depict a “state of the Union” featuring President Abraham Lincoln during his reelection year. Each rendering touches on a significant factor during the Civil War, which was in its fourth year and with no clear victor at the time.
