Dissertation Writing Retreat January 9-13 from the Writing Center, Graduate School and University Library (Deadline 12/28)

Advanced PhD students are invited to apply now to participate in a Dissertation Writing Retreat in January 2017. The writing-intensive retreat, to be held January 9-13, will provide 16 participants with space, time and encouragement to make progress on their dissertations. Event | On the Material Trail: Embedded Librarianship in the Heart of Tuscany

In 2015, Mark Pompelia, the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Visual + Material Resource Librarian, accompanied a double-major RISD student (Apparel Design-Industrial Design) on an international exhibition program called Craft the Leather. Tableau Workshop

On June 16, 2014 at 2 p.m. the library will offer a 90-minute workshop on Tableau in the Hecker Center. Tableau is a software package that allows users to upload and explore their data, and quickly put together a variety of visualizations that can be published to the web. Pivot/Cos Training Session

Training sessions in Pivot/Cos will be held on December 4th and December 10th in the Hecker Center of the Rockefeller Library. Pivot/Cos is a tool that can help researchers fund their work as well as guide them through the rigors of tenure, promotion, or future job prospects.
