Talk and Taiji Quan workshop with Daoist Priest Zhou Xuan Yun and Curator Li Wang

PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] – On Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 2:30 to 5pm, Taoist Priest Zhou Xuan Yun and Brown University Library East Asian Curator Li Wang will discuss Chinese internal arts and the influence of Daoist philosophy and practice on Taiji Quan in the Crystal Room of Alumnae Hall. ArcGIS & SPSS Workshops at the Library

The Library will hold again its workshops for ArcGIS I and II (January 31st & February 6th), SPSS I and SPSS II (February 19th & 26th) and Government Information (February 15th and March 5th). GIS and SPSS workshops at Library

The Library is running its series of workshops on software packages for spatial and numeric data. GIS I and II will focus on map making and spatial analysis for the social sciences. Library Workshop: ArcGIS II: Intermediate Map Making

This workshop is a continuation of ArcGIS I. The emphasis is on creating and editing data. Topics covered include tagging, joining tables, geocoding, buffering, selecting, editing, making new features, merging shapefiles, and creating new data. Tools and toolboxes are explored.
