Located on the Rock’s third floor study alcove next to the East Asian book stacks, this area has been renovated and is now equipped with book shelves, power outlets, a large refinished table, new office chairs and leather couches, a coffee table, and a small carpet. Selected and cataloged essential reference works are on the shelves. The space provides a pleasant reference and reading room for library users, especially for East Asian scholars who can research in a convenient and comfortable environment. East Asian Studies faculty and students have responded positively to the new space.
