  • Extended Library Hours – Reading & Exam Period

    The Rockefeller and Sciences Libraries will begin extended hours early this semester by staying open on Friday and Saturday nights until 2:00am. Every day of the week from April 28th through May 18th the Rockefeller and Sciences Libraries will remain open until 2:00am.
    The John Hay Library will be open on Saturday, April 29, Saturday May 6 and Saturday May 13 from 1 to 5 p.m. Those needing to consult materials in the Brown University Archives or the Anne S. K. Brown Military Collection should call 863-3723 to make arrangements in advance.
    All other libraries will maintain their normal schedules.

  • Help design the new 24-Hour Study Center at the SciLi

    Submit your favorite images or quotes from the Brown Library collection with their Josiah call numbers and they may appear in the Study Center as a tribute to the pursuit of knowledge.

  • New Database – Reference Universe

    Reference Universe indexes authoritative reference works in our Library, through deep exploration of specialized, subject encyclopedias. This database contains links to over 6000 works, including: complete back-of-the-book indexes; article titles; articles and indexes in ebooks; and links to online reviews. All are linked to the Brown Library catalog. Use Reference Universe to identify the authoritative article to begin research, whether it’s on our Library shelves or in online resources.
    Off-campus users must log in via the VPN client or EZproxy.
