Tour the McLellan Lincoln Collection!

On Saturday, December 10th, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the John Hay Library will be offering tours of its McLellan Lincoln Collection in connection with the Providence Public Library’s new exhibition “Forever Free: Abraham Lincoln’s Journey to Emancipation.” Our companion exhibition, “Broken Chains: Abraham Lincoln and the Legacy of Emancipation in the African American Experience” will also be open for viewing. The exhibition was organized by the Huntington Library (San Marino, California) and the Gilder Lehrman Institute for American History (New York), in cooperation with the American Library Association and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
