The Library Welcomes Kerri Hicks, Christopher Geissler, and Kimberly Silva

The Brown University Library is pleased to welcome three recent hires: Kerri Hicks, Christopher Geissler, and Kimberly Silva.

kerriHicksKerri Hicks joined the Library as the new Web Manager on August 29, 2014. She has been a web developer in higher education for nearly twenty years. One of her goals throughout her professional career has been to connect people with information. Prior to Brown, she was the Manager of Web Communications at the University of Rhode Island. In December of 2014, she earned her MLIS degree from University of Rhode Island.

 

GeisslerChristopher Geissler returned to Brown as Librarian for British and American Literary and Popular Culture Collections on September 2, 2014. He had served briefly as interim librarian for these collections from January to May 2013, when he left to take an archivist position at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Christopher has worked at Yale’s Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library and at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute Library in Williamstown, MA. He holds undergraduate and graduate (BA and MPhil) degrees from Yale University in American Studies and earned an MLIS from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

 

KimberlySilvaSquareKimberly Silva became the Circulation Manager in the Rockefeller Library on November 24, 2014. Prior to arriving at Brown, she worked at the Fall River Public Library for fourteen years, where she was the librarian in both public and technical services. Kimberly has both her BA and MLIS degrees.
