Hay Annex
Refers to items or collections located at the off-site storage facility
Stacks
Location inside of the John Hay Library where collections and items are stored. There are 8 stacks, classified with an “N” in front of a number for North and floor, and “S” in front of a number for South and floor. For example, N8 denotes Floor 8, North corridor.
Collection(s)
Refers to a series of items and/or materials assembled to create one, larger collection
Item(s)
Refers to one singular thing, often a book.
Slips/Flags
Refers to acid-free, computer generated slips that contain the following information about items:
- Title
- Call Number
- Publication, pagination, and other descriptive identifiers
- Barcode (both computer generated for project and a copy of any previously existing barcode)
- Collection location code
