  • “Glossy Ibis” on display in John Hay Library

    Glossy Ibis A volume of John James Audubon’s master work, The Birds of America, is on display on the main floor of the John Hay Library. Each bird will be on display for only one month. This month’s bird is “Glossy Ibis”. The library is open 9 to 5, Monday through Friday. The Library will be closed on Monday August 13, 2007. This elephant folio edition of The Birds of America, bound in six volumes, was presented by Albert E. Lownes to the Library on the occasion of his 50th class reunion in 1970.   • Cashless at the Rockefeller Library

    Beginning August 1st, the Rockefeller will stop accepting cash payments for late fees and other charges and will no longer provide change. The library accepts checks, credit cards and declining balance for payment due.

  • Absolute Quiet Room temporarily closed

    |

    Beginning on Friday July 20th books stored in the Rockefeller Library’s Absolute Quiet Room on Level A will be moved temporarily to the paging side of Level C.
    On Monday July 23rd, the Absolute Quiet Room will be closed for a period of approximately two weeks for some minor repairs. We apologize for any inconvenience.
