Extended Library Hours – Reading/Exam Period

The complete list of expanded Library hours for Reading Period and Exams is on the web at: http://dl.lib.brown.edu/hours/. To download a printed copy go to http://dl.lib.brown.edu/hours/fall_exams.pdf The Rockefeller and Sciences Libraries will extend hours to midnight on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9 and Dec. 10 and on Dec. 16 and Dec.17. The John Hay Library will have extended hours on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 1 to 5 p.m. All other libraries will maintain their normal schedules. In addition, take a break and enjoy some pizza on Tuesday night, Dec. 13 @ 9 p.m. at the SciLi and on Wednesday Dec. 14 @ 9 p.m. at the Rock. Library Database of the Week – American Civil War: Letters and Diaries
|
American Civil War: Letters and Diaries database combines more than 1,000 sources of diaries, letters, and memoirs to provide fast access to thousands of views on almost every aspect of the war, including what was happening at home. The writings of politicians, generals, slaves, landowners, farmers, seaman, wives, and even spies are included. The letters and diaries are by the famous and the unknown, giving both the Northern and Southern perspectives, and those of foreign observers too.
Off-campus users must log in via the VPN client or EZproxy.

Library Hours – Thanksgiving Holiday

All University Libraries will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 24 and 25. The Sciences and Rockefeller Libaries will be open Saturday, November 26, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular hours resume on Sunday November 27.
