Doctoral Certificate Program in Digital Humanities – Fall 2023 Workshops

The Doctoral Certificate Program in Digital Humanities offers an opportunity to currently enrolled Ph.D. students interested in adding expertise in digital methodologies and techniques to their research portfolio. Brown University Library’s Center for Digital Scholarship and the Cogut Institute for the Humanities are pleased to partner together to offer the doctoral certificate, which will provide Doctoral Certificate Program in Digital Humanities – Fall 2023 Workshops

DH Salons – Fall 2023

The DH Salon series is a regular, informal presentation series bringing together digital humanities work across the Brown University campus.  Fall 2023 Schedule Select Tuesdays at noon on Zoom or in the Digital Scholarship Lab (room 137) at the Rockefeller Library. Library Early Closure on August 23, 2023

The Brown University Library will close at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23 for our annual summer staff celebration. This includes the Rockefeller, John Hay, and Orwig Libraries. Brown Library Receives Second NEH Grant for Digital Publishing Institute

Tara Nummedal Appointed Faculty Director of the Center for Digital Scholarship

The Brown University Library is delighted to announce the new Faculty Director of the Center for Digital Scholarship (CDS). Professor Tara Nummedal, John Nickoll Provost’s Professor of History and Professor of Italian Studies, began her three-year tenure in this role on July 1, 2023. She succeeds Professor Steven Lubar, the inaugural Faculty Director, who made Tara Nummedal Appointed Faculty Director of the Center for Digital Scholarship

Clare Kirkpatrick Jones Appointed Assistant Editor of Brown University Digital Publications

The Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Clare Kirkpatrick Jones as Assistant Editor of Brown University Digital Publications (BUDP).
