The Library Welcomes Andrew Creamer

The Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Creamer as the Library’s new Science Data Specialist. Creamer is coming to the Library from University of Massachusetts Medical School and National Network of Libraries of Medicine. In this role he taught research data management to librarians of the region. From 2012-2013 he coordinated and The Library Welcomes Andrew Creamer

Updates From Around the Library (March 2014)

Here are a few recent highlights from some of the Library’s various blogs: Brown Curio has some tips on how to avoid moiré patterning. The Rock50 website continues to add more Rock memories. Make sure to submit your own Rock memory. The Hall-Hoag Collection Blog continues posting interesting propaganda materials including artifacts from the Bohemian Grove Action Network and the Weather Underground. Upcoming Mendeley Workshops

The Library is offering two upcoming Mendeley Workshops. The first is on March 17, 2014 and the second is on March 20, 2014. Both are at 5:30 p.m. in the Hecker Center (Rockefeller Library). The Library would like to highlight the German Studies research guide created by Librarian Dominique Coulombe. This libguide has a great page on language resources which highlights a number of online German tools. Library Has Lots of New DVDs

The Friedman Center has over 12,000 videos and DVDs, including many new releases (and some of the recent award recipients).
