The Gregory Corso Papers – the unpublished poetry of a Beat poet

The Gregory Corso papers, a collection of unpublished poetry, writings, photographs and original oil paintings, are now available for research at the John Hay Library.  They provide an intimate look into the complicated life and work of one of the most influential Beat poets of his generation. The SSTART (Social Sciences Teaching and Research Team) blog has some tips on following the election. Blind Date with a Book

Celebrate this chilly weekend by going on a blind date with a book. Check out the books wrapped in brown paper on the first floor bookshelves in the Sorenson Reading Room of the Rock. The books are a random selection from the Brown Library’s literature collection. The message on each book hints at its contents. Pick Blind Date with a Book

The Library Welcomes Boaz Nadav-Manes

Boaz Nadav-Manes joined the Library in October as the Director of Library Technical Services. Prior to Brown, Boaz served as a Senior Product Manager in the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) in Leiden, Netherlands. In this role, Boaz oversaw the system development of the International Standard Name Identifier and managed the Art Discovery Group Catalog. Before The Library Welcomes Boaz Nadav-Manes

The Library Welcomes Liz Glass

The Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Liz Glass as the Digital Scholarship Editor. This position is a part of the Mellon funded initiative to support interactive digital publications by Brown faculty. An editor, writer, and curator Liz is well prepared to fulfill this important new position in the Library’s Center for Digital Scholarship.
