The six tapestries within The Lady and the Unicorn series, on display in the Musée National du Moyen Âge (Musée de Cluny), show scenes related to the five senses, within a repeated tableau of both a maiden and a lion alongside the horned creature. These reproductions of two of the tapestries depict the senses of sight and hearing. Displayed with specific heraldic pennants and armor, art historians have developed and debated several theories related to the commissioners and owners of the tapestry series.
